UCT Take-up Bearing Units

EP-UCT take-up bearing units are designed to move in a take-up frame so the shaft position can be adjusted. This is especially useful on conveyors and chain or belt drives where tension and tracking need periodic correction.Series optionsDisplay seriesLockingTypical selection pointEP-UCTSet screwStraight shaft and sliding take-up frameEP-NATEccentric collarDirectional locking preferenceEP-UCKSet screwAlternative take-up housing formatEP-UCSTSet screwTake-up variantFor an enquiry, include the shaft size, frame slot or guide dimensions, adjustment travel, drive layout and environmental conditions. The bearing unit and the take-up frame should be reviewed as one assembly.Series and locking optionsFamilyConfigurationSelection contextEP-UCTTake-up housing with set-screw insertConveyor tensioning and adjustable shaft positionsEP-NATEccentric-lock take-up familyTake-up positions using eccentric collar lockingEP-UCKCompact take-up familySmaller frames where geometry matchesEP-UCSTAlternate / reinforced take-up familyFrames designed for the corresponding housing formHow to choose this categoryA take-up bearing is part of a sliding tensioning mechanism, so the housing guide geometry is as important as the bore. Measure shaft diameter, guide width, housing dimensions and usable travel. Identify which screw or frame mechanism moves the housing and whether the unit must remain aligned while the belt or chain is tensioned.Typical applicationsTake-up units are common at conveyor and bucket-elevator tensioning positions. They may also appear in other adjustable centre-distance drives. A fixed pillow block should not be substituted when the machine relies on controlled linear travel.Frequently asked questionsWhat is the difference between EP-UCT and EP-UCP?EP-UCT is designed to slide in a take-up frame; EP-UCP is a fixed base-mounted pillow block. What is adjustment travel? It is the usable linear movement allowed by the take-up frame, not a bearing-internal dimension. Measure it from the machine. Can I choose a take-up unit from shaft size only? No. The frame guide and housing geometry must also match. What should I photograph for an RFQ?Show the housing in its take-up frame, the tension screw or adjustment mechanism and the shaft / pulley position.Related bearing-unit familiesUse EP-UCP for fixed conveyor supports and EP-UCFC / flange families for face-mounted conveyor or screw-conveyor positions.Request a category quoteSend shaft diameter, mounting dimensions, locking method, application, quantity and any drawing or existing part number.
