Three checks before you request an alternative

Measure the mounting interface

Record bore and centre height for a pillow block, or bore and bolt pattern for a flange unit.

Identify the locking system

Note set screws, eccentric collar or an adapter arrangement instead of assuming the main series tells the whole story.

Describe the duty

Add speed, contamination, moisture, shock and lubrication access where they affect selection.

Useful RFQ attachments

A photo of the complete NTN marking, an overall housing photo and a simple mounting sketch normally give more context than a bare model code. For repeat procurement, include the drawing or approved dimensions your purchasing team uses to control substitutions.

Series selection after measurement

Once the installed form is clear, the request can be routed toward EP-UCP, EP-UCF, EP-UCFL, EP-UCFC, EP-UCT or insert-only families as appropriate. Final selection remains configuration-specific and should not be inferred from the brand reference alone.
